In particular, Chapter 13, pp.187-201 covers the topic in excellent detail.
For those that are interested in the distortions (and stereo examples), this 
is the definitive analytical exposition with references. (Lots of equations.)

Chapter author is Dr. Sanjib K. Ghosh, (Laval University, Canada).

I've personally published on Stereo X-ray Photogrammetry, but Dr. Ghosh is the
generally acknowledged "Top Gun" on SEM, TEM and X-ray Photogrammetry.
