White Material Sources

There are a lot of materials that would probably work OK for a white
reflector, but the materials I'm referring to are among the best for %
reflectivity (~99%), and/or durability. Go to Kodak's web site
(www.kodak.com), click on the "search" button, enter the words "barium
sulfate", and then click on the "KSIS:Kodak White Reference Products"
selection. This will give a lot of information on this classic material.
I've bought some in the past, it comes in their standard brown bottle as a
thick white solution which nedds to be stirred really really well before use.

Other materials will, of course, work but most "white" papers are only
about 80% reflective and paints are maybe a little higher, but nothing comes
close to the 99% reflectivity and Lambertian characteristics of the barium
sulfate or the "Spectrolon(R)" material from Labsphere.
