I must live in the wrong country!   Sure,  CD-Roms are readily available 
on PC's,  but in the U.K. there are many more multi-trackers available 
(due to the music business) for slide/dissolve/cross-fade work, than the 
specialised equipment for lifting audio and control tracks from CD  -  
even if the majority of users had the faintest idea of how to use the 
latter.  For a twin projector set-up you can't beat the simple slider 
hand programmer.  If you're getting into multi-projector set-up then 
that's a different ballgame...and a lot more expensive!
