I think there is a French group, possibly Stereo-Club Francais,
that is trying to define the capabilities and specifications of
the "ideal stereo camera".  You might want to look at their ideal
camera web site.  I don't have its address here; perhaps someone
could provide it?

I think it would be _great_ fun to design a camera here in this
group.  However, unless there's a good chance of actually building
it, not everyone may wish to participate.
