Wide angle...
Keeping the baseline mechanics in mind because of the complications of
stereo, you may want to just try the wide angle shots using different
distance constraints as shown in Greg's previous post, and see what "look"
you like.
Ethics get to be something of an issue here, because one of the standard
ploys of the advertising industry is to use a wide angle lens to make
things look larger and more expansive than they really are. Car interiors
are one of the most common examples. What the original post implied was
wide angle as a marketing tool. Used this way, the intent is to get just
enough expansiveness to made something look great, but no so much as to
make it look unreal-- e.g. appear to be a "lie". Approaching this issue
from pure calculation, then factoring in psychology and ethics will
generate different answers.
