RE: Paul Boyer quotes back the exerpt "Remember short lenses enhance
perspective and long lenses flatten it!" I took from the Canon book
"Lens Work II" and rightly labels it a whopper as everyone should
know that perspective is not determined by the focal length but by
where the camera is placed. But my taking a sentence out of context
probably makes the statement look more rediculous that it is, if
interpeted that "short lenses let photographers get close and long
ones make one stand away."....hence the effects noted. BobH.
(I suppose we have let the binocular users get away with this for a
long time..e.g. high power binoculars flatten the perspective? )
