The thing that's always attracted me to r.p. is that one can then
get close to the screen (even at the ortho seat) without blocking
the beam from the projector.  It occurs to me just now that this
r.p. screen had better have a wide viewing angle or I will not be
able to see anything at the edges of the screen when I'm located 
so close to it.  When you consider that the rays from the projector 
behind the screen are diverging but I'm sitting in a place to which 
the rays must converge, the problem appears worse.

I wonder if using a shift lens (also very expensive) on the projector 
with the normal type of screen would be a better solution to the 
problem of getting close enough to the image.
