That's why I was asking.  8-)  I actually said one or two percent
because that's what some zooms are testing out at in Pop these days
but there may be some leeway being given, as you say; I haven't 
a sense of that.

I think my Nikon macro lenses will do it but not sure about my Cannon
FD 50 lenses - I don't remember.  Maybe I'll shoot a test chart and let 
folks know.

I'm still interested in results from the simple (non-quantitative) test 
below.  I say non-quantitative because this isn't a good way to measure
distortion by its conventional defintion.  It's a pretty good indicator,
though.
