T3D Re Panum Phenomena
I meant to add to my reply to Larry Berlins last posting my only own
personal observation of what Julez described in respect to Panums
phenomena. I produce stereo print pairs for a folio I am in, Before
cropping I find I often have to place the pairs butted together or even
overlap one over the other to preview them in stereo. Either by freeviewing
or using a Cassela stereoscope once they are fused I can slowly move them
apart usualy by freeviewing but also I seem to remember with the Cassela
which has a variable interocular so I can draw both out together. Sometimes
its possible to seperate them completely even to produce a small gap which
is prefered by the folio group and provides a space for the septum of a
Holmes for example. Eventualy though I lose fusion doing this and I do find
I have to return the pairs much closer than the last point I had fusion
even back to the starting point. P.J.Homer
