T3D 'Polarisation preserving diffusers'

I have lately heard about sheet materials called
Polarisation Preserving Diffusers.

They are offered as a component for flat panel displays,
and I gather that they may be especially useful for reflective
colour LCD's

Some Japanese companies make them, but the only specific
source I have heard of is a company called Microsharp:

http://www.microsharp.co.uk/p01.htm

It seems to me that whatever these are might be just the thing for
stereo back-projection using a normal stereo projector and passive
glasses.

Unfortunately they indicate 'sizes up to 200mm x 250mm' but that
may simply be because of their application.

I bet that:
1) there is a US source
2) someone on this list knows more about it than me!

That's all I know!

Jeremy
