T3D Projection Technique

Richard Koolish asked a lot of questions about projection results in
different situations.

I find it helpful to keep in mind that parallax differences between film
chips are fixed at the time of exposure. Therefore, if infinity points are
projected parallel, then the rest of the scene remains spatially "correct" no
matter where the screen is or where the mount borders are.
In an adequately dark room, the screen disappears and the "window"
position in space is determined by the parallax differences between the mount
borders and the scene elements.

This of course brings up the whole esthetic question of mounting to the
window versus mounting to infinity.
One can do both of course, but not if one insists on screen coincident
mount borders.
