Jeremy,

   I got the information I was looking for!  I have two 5" X 7" samples of
their material MD-44 and MD-48.  I found the material but haven't found the 
Technical Data Sheet.  I placed the material between two crossed polarizers 
and the extinction did not change much at all.  The same was true as I rotated 
the polarizers.  I suggest you contact the company and get the detailed 
information for yourself (and some samples).  I last talked to them in 1994, 
so things may have changed since then.  They may/should even have made 
improvements and added products since then.
