I would think the inverse square law would be obeyed but that
the actual GN would depend more on the actual water's turbidity 
than anything else.  Probably the limitation is loss of contrast
due to so much light coming back from the water.  I'm don't know 
but I try not to let that stop me from posting.  8-)
