Always "inimitable", never "inimical"!

If I knew what I was talking about, I probably wouldn't have said anything.
Okay, seriously. I know something about polio. People who have had polio,
and experience a "burning sensation" from any overexertion, may be causing
permanent damage. The current theory is that polio destroyed key portions of
the spinal cord called anterior horn cells. The remaining cells must work
extra-hard, are wearing out, and causing premature death of these horn
cells. It would be akin to rapid aging. Having had polio myself, I know that
that "burning sensation" you mentioned is a real no-no! Permanent death of
the nerve cells that control your muscles; eye muscles in this case. Though
I can't speak for you "normals", it might be something to consider?!?
