The differences I imagine the test would have, would be between the spheres
and the background. Here's how I see it so far:
1. A background that is half white, and half Matte black..
2. Several grey matte spheres, anchored to sticks comming out from the
background at different distances relative to the camera (the spheres would
hide the sticks).
3. One white sphere (just for the heck of it) with black dots. The dots
would be arranged and made eliptical to minimise their relative sise and
position to act as cues.
4. Lit through a tent to avoid shading.
5. And shot as John suggested, as well as at a smaller (~f/16ish) aperture.
Anything you think should be added or considered???
