Depends on what you're up to, but the answer is probably no. The reason
being that often times lights are focused. 

For a bare bulb.. Yes.
For a laser...       No.
Everything else will pretty much fall in the middle.

If what you mean is some light, or reflection that is seen as an image? They
get smaller as you move away (everything else staying equal).
