T3D Re: Mounting quality

I wonder about this: because everyone has different vision and can or can
not see stereo as well as other people can, it is possible that what gets
blamed for poor mounting is really due to the individual viewer of the
stereo slides? I know of people who do not like to look at stereo for a
long time because it causes eye strain. I have a problem that others do not
have. I can look at stereo for a long time without problem, but I cant read
or write for long periods of time without getting fatigued.

What about polarized glasses. Are they equal to the projection filters? The
last 3D film I saw was "House Of Wax", and I had a real problem with the
glasses. Cancellation/extinction was incomplete in the left eye and it was
hard to view the movie without eye strain. My brother did not have this
problem and his glasses were a bit different.

It would be interesting to gather together a group of experts, have them
mount their slides and inspect each other's work. Inspect the projection
system and glasses and then see who in the audience is bothered by the
stereo images. What will anyone bet that with "Perfect" mounting and
projection, a certain percentage of the audience will experience problems.
and furthermore, I would bet that mounting gets blamed for some of the
problems.
