T3D Slides

I just purchased a group of stereo-glass slides (b&w) of the construction of
the Panama Canal dated 1.911(I assume means 1911.) They are not in the best of
shape. They are dirty in addition to having scratches. Is there anyway to
clean them?
Size; about 10.5 x 4.4 cm.
