On the bright side, even if it is obsolete (as are most "PC's" at any given time)
there will be support for that format so long as there is sufficient market to
make it worthwhile (at some price).  Only goes completely away when the
number of people really interested (ones who would speak with their pocketbooks)
is very small.  More or less.

They still make vacuum tubes.  :-)
