T3D stamped CD are forever

Writable CDs are one thing, stamped cds would seem another.  The
Polycarbonate is more archival than anything used in history - unless
physically damaged.
I do make multiple copies of important stuff when I burn my own. 
Certainly, copies distributed to friends and family also insure access
to this data.
Perhaps in a few years it will be practical (affordable) for more of us
to write our old video tapes to DVD.
