Ron wrote, and I agree:

"It's such a shame that so few people in the world will ever be able to
enjoy
what MUST be the greatest photographic experience ever devised by
mankind:
an original, high quality transparency in the highest quality viewer. It
is
an incredible experience, but is nearly impossible to share on a wide
scale."

Awareness of stereo is sometimes required before the fine taste is
acquired. Some of us are even driven to commercialism and digital
processes to finance our film use. Still, one can only expect that the
digital will get even better. It has improved quickly, and is becoming
more affordable.

I have tried to commercialize film in the past. Tough going. Disney
and Vegas may be doing us a service by raising stereo awareness. We can
all appreciate why one would choose to measure resolution in lp/mm
rather than in pixels. But a profitable market may not be there. It is
like making your own wine. It might be just for you and a select few.

I would like to make a 4x5" Brewster viewer, someday, and shoot content
for it. I would be unlikely to want to sell the origionals.

Digital will offer impressive resolutions by increasing the area and
precision of the displays. Some of this is certainly available today.
If one can afford it! But this too can change....
