As I'm sure you know that by filtering left eye, and right eye information
through distinctly different spectra, you're able to preserve the separate
left and right images.
What you may not know is that any color and it's complement will give you a
full color anaglyph. The reason for using red and cyan is that they both
transmit about the same amount of light.
With color subtraction filters, there will always be a certain amount of
crossover, either that or a certain loss of information if any other than
the complementary color is used. For the most precise and natural rendition
of color, in a color anaglyph, you will need to use dichroic filters.
