I supose that any program which is intended to deal with identifyng
elements in digital pictures, as for measuring lateral distance between
the same object in both stereo views, must know the  value of intensity
at any pixel. Do you know a program where I can indicate coordinates in
a picture (any format, but better if .jpg, .gif) and it renders to me
the intensity at that point?.  It is kind of a digital photometer, and
it should be well known, but I never knew it.
