Greetings all. New to this list. I have terrible grammer and
spelling, so instead of torturing you all with a bio more boring than
repeats of "Barney", suffice to say I have occasion shot IF, black &
white only, for over 15 years now, but not too much.
I recently moved to medium format from 35mm (Mamyia C330 outfit) and I
have just tried my first roll of the new Konica IF film, which, I
beleive, is one of the few, if not only B&W IF films in 120 format.
Anyhow, I shot off a bunch of pictures of the front of my house, suing
no filters,, through Y-O-R and a IF filter. I have a good B&W (brand
name - not thtype of film) IF filter that blocks all but IF light.
Anyhow, following development instrucitons, (I have my own darkroom for
B&W - film that is this time. Confusing, eh?) my film was a total
wasout. Severe under exposure.
Has anyone used this film, and do they have any suggest film sppeds and
times. There are no listed film speed, but I am wondering if it is as
low as say 25 ISO.
There where lots of white fluffly clouds, lots of very green grass and
trees in the pictures, so I know there was lots of IF light there. I
really feel the problem was my misjudgment of exposure.
One more thing - I see there is another amature astronomer in here!
Great! Aside from photography, astronomy is my other main hobby in life.
take care
joe
