(Mrs.) Stanee Rae Pettit Murray

Owner, Stanee Rae Studio, Lincroft, NJ, USA

I'm a former Bell Labs engineer with a MS in Computer Sciences from Stevens
Tech in Hoboken, NJ. I left AT&T to attend grad school full time, and got
into photography just for fun. I started my own business in 1990, and work
from home. Just this April I received my CPP (certified professional
photographer) degree from PPA (Professional Photographers of America). This
March, I suggested to the PPANJ (Prof. Photographers Assoc. of NJ) that we
should go on the net, and I'm now the volunteer webmaster. We went online
over the Fourth of July weekend. It's only been a few weeks, so the site is
still pretty basic. After our annual convention in October, we plan to add a
gallery of all the award-winning images. Visit us at:
www.cmpsolv.com/ppanj. When I get the chance, I will start working on my
own home page!

I got interested in infrared after attending a seminar by NJ photographer
Joseph Paduano, who's written several books.

My favorite subjects for infrared were weddings and scenics; but I stopped
doing weddings as of this year because it was just too demanding physically.
Two of my wedding images won ribbons from WPPI (Wedding and Portrait
Photographers Int'l) in 1993. One was an honorable mention; the other won
third place and was printed in Rangefinder Magazine in their showcase of
winners from that competition. Last fall, a hand-colored scenic of Boston
won a blue ribbon and judge's choice award at PPANJ's convention.

I've only used Kodak's HIE in 35mm format. I use a Minolta X700 with a
Cokin red filter (#A003) and rate the film at ISO 200. I let the Minolta's
built-in meter determine the exposure in aperture-priority mode. I don't
have a darkroom, so a lab does my processing and printing.

I found your list through another site on our server, www.cmpsolv.com/nhppa.
One of their members, Leslie O'Shaunessy, has a list of links to
photographic resources.

If you would like to see a photo of me, visit www.agfahome.com and follow
the link to their scanner contest, then the link to the winner's page. I
was the May winner of a FREE StudioScan IIsi.

Any questions?

Sincerely,

Stanee Rae Murray
