My camera is a Nikon F501 and has no infraredsensor in it for seeking the
begin of the film (like the EOS-camera's). But my camera has a little glass
on the back so I can see what sort of film is in it. Is this little
spywindow a problem with infraredfilm in the camera; should it be taped or
not?

I used Kodak HIE film in my F90 in very bright light in Cuba and there was
no noticeable leakage through the little window.
BTW ... The Canadian Forestry people in up-state (up-Province?) Ontario
published a paper on using infra-red colour film to diagnose tree diseases
remotely. I have a copy somewhere in storage so I can't quote chapter and
verse on it. And to repeat my earlier suggestion for E-4 development, try
a hospital with a photographic unit. The film is used in dermatological
diagnosis.
