Infrared Printing papers

     Hi All

Just another thought on this printing of Infrared photos. I use fiber
based paper about 90% of the time. This paper is usually Ilford's
Gallerie either a #2 or #3 grade. I have always had very good results
from this paper. I find that if the image is very contrasty even for a
#2 paper, I will develop it in a Selectol solution for part of the
developing time and then into Dektol. I adjust the time in Selectol
and Dektol to suit, but they will always add up to 2 minutes.

My Infrared stuff tends to be quite contrasty, due to the fact that I
almost always use a Hoya Red Polarizer when using HIE film. This
filter really emphasizes both the effects of the red filter on the
film as well as the effects of the polarizer.
