tele notes

Hi,

I also took some tele shots of foliage with the #87C BTFR filter
(Between The Film Rail....:-)), and noted something I should know by
now: shadow behind a leaf, created by foliage, as a dark contrasty
background doesn't work. You'll end up with an amazing dull
contrast, due to an overproportional amount of IR present in those
shadows. A significant amoung of IR is transmitted through the leaf,
much more than visible (I put the chapter from Walter Clark, where
he explains the physics behind it, online on my homepage).

So if you want to stick out that leaf against a dark background, the
only way is finding a blue sky....8-))
