Merry Xmas
Season's greetings to all of you,
This past year has been a lot of fun as it has been the first year of having
a computer and also being involved on the internet. Some of the recipients
of this message are individuals and some are lists. To the list
administrator, thank you for your efforts on the behalf of all those
interested in the variety of topics myself and others find interesting.
Without all of you, we would be much less informed and our lives much less
interesting. I certainly hope that this posting at the festive season is not
out of place.
So many people have been helpful to me during this past year in my valiant
efforts to make some sense out of the "puter". I have learned a small amount
and am endeavoring to gain further insights into its wonders daily. Many of
you will still get requests for assistance in the future and I will
thoroughly enjoy the responses received and try to remember your advice.
Some of those I especially wish to thank include Matthew Rappaport, Ron
Kramer, Pete Beim, Adam Kippes, Dick Smith (I have lost his address but I'll
look for it on the usenet), Nick Spalding, Godfried and Bruce.
To all the photographic friends on innumerable lists, the best of the season
to you and best wishes for a great booking season during the next few
months. To those in photo forum and infrared, the pages of photos to be
viewed and the information on the variety of topics discussed are terrific
and I applaud the effort it takes to make the images and info available to
so many interested participants.
All the throwers, knifemakers and collectors, it has been a fun time and I
really enjoy communicating with kindred souls all over North America and
throughout the world about our fascinating hobby. We are thinking of trying
to get to the Atlanta show in Feb. and hopefully Darrel and others will be
there and we have an opportunity to visit in person.
Herb and Brian, old friends, the humor has been thoroughly enjoyed by all
the family and has been used in our Central Portrait Newsletter. Susan,
Sharon and Bobbi, I hope we can continue our correspondance in '97.
If I have forgotten anyone, it is only because the cyberspace friends is
truly overwhelming and wonderful. I do have one other thing on my mind--soon
have to go do my first grandpa babysitting duty this afternoon. And I
thought computers was a challenge--whew!!!
A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD DAY? NIGHT? who can tell in
cyberspace???
