Jaap Los detailed his experiences with his first roll of HIE, and there was 
something strangely coincindental about a problem he was having and one I am 
having with (I think) all my rolls of film and my Nikon F801s.  
Jaap, I too have noticed this FAINT line on my films using this camera, could 
you have a close look at other films you've taken for evidence of this line. I 
know it's a long shot and a crazy one at that since I'm blaming the camera, but 
at least it would eliminate this as the source of the problem.

2.  The filter is almost black and therefore I composed the picture 
without filter on the lens. Camera Nikon F801 reflex.

.......Moreover there was a very faint thin light stripe (appr. 1 mm 
width) over the whole length of the film.  It=92s hardly detectable and 
has no sharp edges. It looks more like an irregular pattern of the 
grain. (it=92s light on the negative and thus black on the actual 
photo).

6.  Can anyone solve the problem of the faint light stripe on the film? 
Could it be a manufacturers fault?
