I hand paint my infra-red photos and prefer fiber based paper. To keep it
flat I dry mount it first. That works. If you find a way to flatten it
otherwise - oil based paint won't curl it but water based paints ripple it up
while you watch.  It's harder to find an RC surface as nice to work on.
Luminos has a paper called RCR Art that has a really nice surface for an RC
