I have had no problem with HIE using HC110 dilution B (1-31 from the
bottle) and using a one to two minute prewet of the film. No pinholes, no
funny blotches, etc. Remember also, that over agitating will cause surge
marks on any 35mm film as the developer races through the sprocket holes as
Bernouli's (sp?) law predicts.

One of the problems with D-76 (a mix from powder product) is that some
people never get all the powder into dilution. I have had problems with
other black and white films and D-76 in the past...therefore going to HC110
and never looking back. HC110 starts out as a syrup and completely
disolves in H20.

My website gives a faq about using HIE for those who haven't already seen it.
