Thanks for the advice . I will try a dilute acid stop bath and cut down
on my agitation . The tapping of the tank was added after the first
appearance of air bells . I will stop this next film. I have only got banding
arround sprocket holes when I tried continuous agitation on a Kinderman
SS reel motor base .
In Canada HIE bulk film is only available at Kodak graphic art dealers
not at photographic dealers . This makes it a little harder to find . The
sprocket hole spacing problem is the first I have heard of this . I have
not bulk loaded HIE for years though .
A Canon F-1 with a 50 1.4 is a steal at $ 150 , even in US dollars .
Check the pressure plate for "dimples" or rivets in the exposure area
that could cause uneven negs..
