T-Max development

I have seen the directions for using T-Max developer for HIE and it seems
pretty straight forward.  The question is, has anyone out there used it?  I
have seen references to its use, but only second or third hand.  I'm not
out to have grainless 135 HIE, but would like to make some 11x14 (28x36cm)
prints.
