Well I am going to have to get the film processed in AR-5.
I am hopeing it will show up the differences in the various pigments
used in our art works we work on, and surely if it works for trees...
Many thanks and I will post my findings when I get the film back
though there are still a few shots left until it is finished. I will
also
be interested to see what the couple of 'landscapes' look like
as I couldn't use all the film at work ! !

>Also has anyone seen a direct difference between E6 and AR-5?
We've processed the 70mm version of EIR in both the E-6 and AR-5
chemistries and the differences between the two are dramatic. The E-6
processed transparencies were distinctly magenta with a moderate-to-high
amount of contrast. Color variations that should exist between tree
species
are largely absent from the E-6 processed transparencies.
The AR-5 transparencies on the other hand, were color "neutral" (no
magenta
tinge). The AR-5 processed stuff also shows the subtle color variations
that exist among the various tree species that grow in the Great Lakes
area
of North America. Some of the AR-5 processed transparencies (aerial
photos
taken at 5,000 feet) are among the most colorful shots I've ever seen.
Each
hardwood tree (Hard Maple, Basswood, Aspen, Red Oak, etc.) has it's own
color signature that shows beautifully when processed in AR-5 chemistry.
If 35mm users have a chance to have their EIR processed in the AR-5
chemistry, do it.
