Either strobe or hot lights will work with infrared. I find hot lights
to be a little more dramatic, but whether that is due to a higher level
or IR or the color temp, I know not. I always just used a 25A with
people, so either could be responsible.
Keep in mind that even professional models have trouble spending much
time under hot lights, so be kind to your subject if you go that route.
Maybe a mixed session would allow some experimentation on your part and
a cooling off for both of you.
Also, keep in mind that you're going to get smaller pupils under the hot
lights...this may or may not be a factor depending upon your desired
look. For "bedroom eyes", you may need the strobe.
Forget flourescent---it has little IR and also drops the red level, so
you are probably better off with anything else.
