Well, a good argument to start your own homepage and gallery!....:-)) 
Be nice to Cor, the Gallery's spiritual father and faithfull 
maintainer....when he first mentioned the idea on the list, he got 
hardly any reaction....he almost put it back on the shelf, but being 
Dutch as well, I could convince him that anything *free* should 
absolutely work....:-))
Little did we know it would work too well....;-))
Such a neverending editor-ship isn't easy; add physical scanning of 
prints and you have one hell of a daily job, day-in day-out.
Even if I had web-space for free myself (which I don't) I wouldn't
have the time to do it, at least not as well as Cor did. He deserves
a big applause for the good job he has done until very recently,
bringing many unknown artists in the spotlights of the IR
community!....:-))

Btw, there are several providers offering free 1MB free web space
and email accounts....so for private homepages there is little that
stops you....only scanning could be a problem (which in fact I
haven't tackled myself perfectly either....my panorama images
require either flatbed scanning (and printing of every image I want
on the web, which I don't like for cost reasons) or a medium/large
format transparency scanner (which I haven't found yet in a
affordable price/quality combination).

And once you get your own gallery up and running, I would be more 
than glad to add your URL to the IR galleries overview on my 
homepage....

This reminds me that I still haven't included such a note in the
'welcome' message of this list, the one that Majordomo sends you
upon subscription....will do it right away!....;-))
