I have just read your reply (all six of them!) about drydown. I suspect
that your uncharitable remark about 'practice and experience' refered to
my reply to Don Bryant. If so I suggest you re-read it properly.
Your technique for assessing drydown is the same as I suggested - just
expressed slightly differently. In practice though I know of no
photographic printers who do this -- because in time one automatically
allows for it - through 'practice and experience'. It's like most
judgement skills, it becomes automatic eventually - like driving.
