The purpose of wearing the loose sweater/jacket is to hide the fanny-pack
(apologies to the Brits who have another meaning for that) so that it is
not seen and therefore not X-Ray'd.

And it works for 120 film; if you try it with 35 mm canisters--they're made
of metal and will set off the metal detectors.

And to further obfuscate the issue...what happens if you're travelling with
Clark Kent and he gets curious?

the mind boggles...
