I've done this before with an 87C over a Vivitar 285 (guide number 120?)
I've gotten reasonable exposure in the f/5.6 to f/8 range. Wide angle lenses
work better as you don't have to worry about IR focus correction as much.
I rate my HIE about 200, and develop in D-76 (straight) for 9-10 minutes.
