On May 2, I wrote:
"I recently developed a roll of HIE (batch 2801) which displays two
parallel, uniform black lines the complete length of the roll. One is
almost on center, the other about 5mm away. The lines are faint, but are
enough to make clearly visible white lines on prints. Looking at the
negative from an oblique angle I cannot see any marks in the emulsion or on
the reverse side. Whatever is there is in the film base as under a loupe
it is visible between the frames.

I do use a polyester 87c filter btr but this has caused no problems in
nearly a year of use. My two previous rolls of HIE from the same batch and
used in the same camera are free of any blemishes. I can not find anything
in the camera which might do this--even if it could make a black line on a
negative.

The negatives are excellent otherwise, well exposed and developed. There
are no signs of fogging or flashing. They were developed in T-Max developer
in a Nikor stainless steel tank

Has anyone else experienced this? I am at a loss to explain it and hope it
is a singularity."

Fortunately, in my case it appears to have been a singularity.
Subsequently, I shot a roll of HIE from batch 2871 and had no problems.
However, I still have no idea what caused the lines. As nothing happened
to your Konica and we use different processing (I developed mine in T-Max
developer with normal agitation and shot with an 87c filter BTR) I think we
have to zero in on the film itself.
