Try getting a diffuser add on for your flash, that will accept different color filters that slide in over the flash output, then someone recently said that a certain piece of film if exposed, and developed would be very similar in light filtering to a 87C, you could then use it in the slot to cut nearly all visible light, and only pass short wave I.R.
