You should test a plastic tank before using it with IR, because some tanks,
though "black" and opaque to visible light, may in fact transmit IR. The
same is true of plastic body cameras and large format film holders. Most are
ok, but it would be a shame to lose irreplaceable images.

I have used plastic tanks and plastic 4x5 film holders without problems. And
my last four rolls of IR were developed in JOBO tanks.
