This whole issue has become very serious, and for reasons I hope everyone
understands.
Here's my recommendation - contact the airports security office where
you know you'll be passing through, explain your situation and the materials
you'll be carrying, and see what can be done. The film MAY
tolerate the low level scan at carry-on checks okay - I don't know for sure. My
friend took 20 rolls with her to France, and was able to have it hand checked.
But that was BEFORE.
Don't accept anyone's advice about lead bags or any of that - it just
makes xray-ing a certainty at a power level that will definitely ruin
your film.
Bottom line - do some meaningful research, get a letter from
the Security People if you can, and let this list know what happens.
