biography; IR close-ups of plants

- - Preferred subjects: I'm sure that I will get hooked on the infrared
photography (I've enjoyed the work of several of the list members), but my
current (strictly scientific) hope is to take photographs at 700-900 nm of
leaves from plants grown under various conditions. Initially I'll be trying
to pick up the spatial patterns of the absorbance (there is some...from
leaf veins and such?), without having it be overwhelmed by the amount of
reflectance.

- - Materials (film, filters, paper, chemistry): Kodak HIE, Wratten 89B. I'm
not sure about processing yet.

- - Format (35mm/medium format/large format): 35mm

- - Other strange hobbies: usually

- - How did you find out about this list: I hit on WJ's home page during a
web search as I was trying to piece together the project. The FAQs are
useful, and I'm quite open to advice. In addition, one project usually
leads to another, so I will probably be interested in learning more and
more about infrared photography. I am also interested to be more informed
about what has been done in infrared close-up
photography.
