Well, it's a Minolta, not a Canon - I took a roll of pictures with a piece
of black plastic stuff taped over it. I'm pretty sure that was lightsafe,
because it was a piece cut off from the inner packaging for photographic
paper. I didn't notice any difference in the problem, between that roll and
a roll I shot with nothing covering it. But I did notice a reduction when I
covered half the counter with electrical tape. Next roll of HIE I shoot, I
think I'm gonna try what somebody suggested on the list (to use slide
remounting tape).

I would hope the problem isn't due to aging or replacement, since I just
got it, new, before this past spring.
