Filters

I'm looking to buy an IR filter and am wondering which one to get. Does
anyone have any experience using several different filters for a side by
side comparison of images? I have all the filter specs, but am wondering
how they translate into IR images. All the books I've seen show the
difference between yellow, orange, red (25), red 29, and opaque, but I
haven't seen any image comparisons of the opaque filters.

Is there much difference between shooting with an 87A versus an 87? I
realize that there's a greater light loss with the 87A, but can you tell a
big difference in the actual prints? eg. skin texture (or lack thereof)
foliage, sky, etc.
