If you want to preview stuff in IR in daylight, you don't need to get a
Nightshot version of a video camera. All CCD video cameras let in about 2%
of the IR.
I use mine (with a Wratten 87 filter) to do some previews for my IR
shots. I have a regular 2 year old TR76. The picture is dark, but it
actually give a pretty good estimate of exposure as well since it's so close
to it's minimum sensitivity.
