Exposing infrared film for more than 3 seconds

Hi,
I want to know if you can expose high speed infra red film for more
than 2 to 3 seconds. I want to place infrared filters on the camera
lens to block out visible light and only allow infra red radiation to
pass through. This way I can do my experiment in dim light, possibly
in blue-green light or something.
I plan to take a photo of a golf swing and fire a series of strob
lights so that I get a series of club positions on the film.
There will be reflectors on the club to reflect infrared radiation
into the camera.
Will there be a problem of infrared luminesence if I expose the film
for so long? Are the films available in the market fast enough to
capture the images?
Thanks
David
