I don't see why it wouldn't work, if you picked the right aperture, to get
the correct light needed for the exposures. Getting that right aperture
might take some testing though - not only would you have to figure out the
brightness of the flash on the subject, at the distance needed, but how
much infrared light the flash puts out.
